Pastor Andy looks at Nehemiah 2, where Nehemiah calls on the people of Jerusalem to rise up and rebuild the walls. We start in Daniel 9:25 that contains a precise 483-year stopwatch prophecy connecting Nehemiah's commission directly to Palm Sunday, the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem. The walls and gates are not just ancient infrastructure but a picture of self-governance: God gave every person five gates through the five senses and Proverbs says whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down without walls — a principle that extends to family, city, and nation. Then we pivot to 1 Corinthians 3 which shows that building the body of Christ is real work fueled by grace, not performance. Pastor Andy closes by confronting three obstacles: nihilism, which says the work won't last; legalism, which says you need to do more; and laziness, which mistakes grace for passivity.
