Our text today is the theme of John's gospel: "'Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples that are not written in this book. But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.'

In this study, Pastor Andy first shows the authenticity of John's gospel, the evidence that's available that we can rely on to consider this as coming from John's pen. From there, he summarized the gospel, reviewing the 7 miracles that John uses, combined with the 7 "I am" statements that Jesus makes.

The action John wants us to take is to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, and He is also the Son of God. The result of that is a spiritual experience, receiving life, energy, ability.

Lastly, in light of all this, the story of the appearing to Thomas is set in it's context, revealing the message John is trying to give us. We have plenty of evidence to believe. We ought to take the witness of others and step out in faith.
