Luke 22:31-34 "The Arm of Flesh Will Fail You."

In the Upper Room, during the Passover meal with his disciples, Jesus lovingly points out to Peter among other things how Satan has desired to sift him and that his faith will be tested. That of course played out, Peter denied the Lord three times before the end of the day.

In this study, we looked at how the we are like Peter, unable to do what's required of us in our own strength, our own sense of self-will, self-determination, the power of our own hearts. We, like Peter, need the power of the Holy Spirit.

As we continue into Acts, following Peter's life, we see him "filled with the Holy Spirit" in the same situation, but with a new power and new dynamic operating in his life.
