We are accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year!

Calvary Chapel Coastal Co-op (C4) exists to serve local homeschooling families, especially military families, by providing a Christ-centered supportive and enriching educational community once a week. Our mission is to foster academic excellence, spiritual growth, and meaningful fellowship for homeschooling families in the greater Fort Walton Beach area.

You may apply to join the Co-op below. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions at coop@calvarychapelfwb.org.

A little more about us...

We meet Tuesday mornings, starting all together at around 9:30 AM with 15 minutes of Chapel for prayer, hymn singing, and Bible verse recital. We wrap up our day around 1:00 PM after we have headed back to the auditorium for closing. We have a community lunch break between our two class periods. We are following the command to break bread together in Acts 2:46-47 and role-modeling this Biblical command. It’s a great time for both the kids and the moms to connect and build friendships! We have a partnership with a local pizza place at a discount that can be ordered and paid for online the day ahead, or many families choose to pack their own lunches. Please note that we are a peanut-free co-op.

Affordable, Parent-Led Model
We are a church-supported ministry and parent-led community, not a drop-off program, which is what keeps us affordable. Because parents and church volunteers do the teaching, the classes offered vary each school year based on who is available. Every parent has a role, and we want everyone to feel comfortable with the position they take on. Some are excited to teach or co-teach with a friend, while others prefer being a teacher’s assistant, helping in the nursery, or assisting with cleaning up the church afterward. Though our most needed role is that of teaching since our mission is learning.

Classes and Activities
With our classes being based on what our parents are excited to teach and what the kids are interested in learning, several of our classes are already set by returning moms who know exactly what they want to teach. Last year, our class sizes ranged from 4 to 12 kids. We also have a thriving music academy housed at Calvary Chapel Fort Walton Beach. There are options to take music classes there during co-op for an additional charge, which can be worked out with the Academy. Step Up grants have historically covered this cost for students with the grant, though we cannot assure anything regarding grant funding.

Tentative Courses:

Enrollment and Space
We will have a complete class listing once we reach our registration capacity and our teachers have finalized their lesson plans. We have two families moving this year, but otherwise, we are retaining all of our families from the 2025-2026 school year. We have some open space now because last year was our first, and we intentionally kept capacity low to ensure our structure and operations were well-planned.

We hope you decide to join us! Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions at coop@calvarychapelfwb.org, otherwise you may complete the application at the link above at your convenience.
